Course Presenters

Dr. Peter Sikkema

Dr. Peter Sikkema – conducted research on weed management in corn, soybean, dry beans, and small grains. Peter taught “Applied Weed Science” and “Herbicide Physiology and Biochemistry”.

Dr. Isabelle Aicklen

An assistant professor at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus. Isabelle’s research is focused on weed management in field crops. Isabelle teaches the “Applied Weed Science” course.

Mr. Mike Cowbrough

The Provincial Field Crop Weed Specialist in Ontario. Mike has developed numerous online programs to share the most up-to-date information on weed management to Ontario producers. Mike maintains a busy speaking schedule where he shares information on weed management with primary producers across the province.

Dr. Josh Skelton

Leads the Research and Development program for Winfield United in North America. Josh is actively involved in the evaluation of new adjuvants.  Winfield United is recognized as a leader in adjuvant technology.

Dr. Tom Wolf

Owner of Agrimetrix. Tom is recognized as a global leader on herbicide application. Tom has presented at conferences around the world.

More than seven hundred people have taken the course! Attendees have come from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, plus numerous US states. The age range of course participants was from 20 to 74. Attendees were from almost all the herbicide manufacturers and many of the ag retailers across Canada plus farmers, agronomists, university professors, and Agriculture Canada research scientists.
